Ray
Chan, Ph.D.
Senior Vice President
GfK V2
Dr. Chan is a quantitative marketing researcher with specific expertise
in product positioning, decision modeling, segmentation and pricing
issues. Prior to joining GfK V2, he was Vice President Advanced
Analytics at Synovate Healthcare. Previously, Dr. Chan served in
various methodologist roles at NFO Migliara/Kaplan (now TNS Healthcare)
and the Healthcare Division of National Analysts Research and Consulting.
In addition to supporting clients’ needs in advanced analytics,
Dr. Chan’s primary focus of research is in the vaccine, oncology
and cardiovascular health markets.
Dr. Chan earned his doctorate in developmental psychology from the
University of Virginia and his bachelor's degree in biology and
human development from Cornell University. He has co-authored numerous
journal articles and book chapters on child development, and has
presented his psychological research nationally and internationally.

Shiv
Raman, M.A., M.B.A.
Senior Vice President, Chief Marketing Scientist
GfK V2
Mr. Raman is responsible for managing GfK V2’s advanced analytics
and quantitative operations. With more than a decade of experience
in statistical modeling, Mr. Raman leverages his knowledge of advanced
quantitative methodologies to translate business issues into elegant
marketing research solutions. His specific area of expertise is
decision modeling, where he favors the use of cutting-edge developments
in discrete choice techniques to solve complex product optimization
problems. Prior to joining GfK V2, Mr. Raman led the advanced analytics
and quantitative operations group at Genactis, Inc. Mr. Raman started
his career at M/A/R/C Research, where, as a Senior Marketing Scientist,
he designed and implemented custom research solutions for clients
in a wide array of industries.
Mr. Raman has master's degrees in both economics and business administration
with specialization in marketing science from the University of
Houston. He has also completed doctoral course work in economics
and marketing.
