Meet Our New Additions: Senior Leadership


As a destination employer for the industry, GfK HealthCare draws top marketing research talent. While our new researchers offer clients a variety of methodological and therapeutic expertise, they share the common background of being marketing research veterans with experience specifically focused in the health care industry.


Camm Epstein, Ph.D.
Vice President
Market Access – U.S. Practice Lead


As the lead for the U.S. Market Access Practice, based in East Hanover, N.J., Camm is responsible for describing current and predicting future market access, as well as measuring payer reactions to pricing and contracting, new products and market events, sales and marketing, and health economics and outcomes research.

Camm has more than 20 years’ experience in health care research, including over 15 years of managed markets research and over 10 years of pharmaceutical marketing research. Before joining GfK HealthCare, he built and led a managed markets research practice for MediMedia, a health care marketing and communications firm. Prior to that, as a partner in Epstein & Associates Research, he spearheaded the quantitative practice and specialized in government programs and managed care projects. Camm spent the early part of his career conducting managed care-related health policy research for government agencies, including the New York City Mayor’s Office and New Jersey’s Department of Health and Department of Human Services. He holds a B.A. in biology and psychology from Rutgers University, an M.P.H. from Columbia University and a Ph.D. in public administration from New York University.

Heinz Ohde
Division Manager
Global Syndicated Services


Based in Nuremburg, Germany, Heinz is responsible for the international growth of GfK HealthCare’s Syndicated Services. This includes the globalization of innovative sales force effectiveness studies; the development of successful therapeutic class studies tools; and innovative approaches in digital marketing. More specifically, his group will work to develop a multicountry treatment tracking system that includes doctors, patients and other health care players as target groups.

Heinz began his career at GfK and has more than 22 years of marketing research experience. Most recently, he served as business development director at Cegedim Strategic Data in Paris, France, where he was responsible for the German, Swiss, Austrian, Nordic and C&EE business. Prior to CSD, he was general manager at Ventiv Health Germany, a rental sales force marketing and marketing research company, and he also worked at Yamanouchi Pharma Germany (now Astellas). He holds a diploma of psychology from the University of Aachen, Germany.

Marco Rauland, Ph.D.
Head of Pricing & Reimbursement


As head of Pricing & Reimbursement, Marco will help shape clients’ global pricing and reimbursement strategies and foster their local implementation. While based in Nuremburg, Germany, he will rely on GfK HealthCare expertise from various countries to analyze the effects of ongoing changes within the different local health care systems on innovative pricing and market access strategies.

Marco brings more than 15 years of drug development, marketing, market research and pricing consulting experience in the pharmaceutical industry to GfK HealthCare. His expertise is in value proposition development, as well as European and global pricing and reimbursement strategies. He has led the pricing and reimbursement strategy for product launches across numerous therapy areas and has in-depth knowledge of international country pricing and reimbursement systems. Prior to joining the GfK HealthCare, Marco served as global head of the Pricing, Access & Reimbursement practice for Genactis and before that was director of the Pricing and Reimbursement business unit at TNS Healthcare (now Kantar Health). He studied biochemistry and pharmacology at the University of Cologne, Germany, and holds a Ph.D. in natural science.
