Donna Kelly, Ph.D.
Managing Director, GfK HealthCare (United States)
Formerly chief consulting officer for the U.S. HealthCare practice, Dr. Kelly was recently promoted to run the U.S. HealthCare research team as managing director. In this role, Dr. Kelly is responsible for the strategic support and development of GfK HealthCare’s business across the United States. In addition to managing and expanding GfK’s team of health care research professionals, her duties include ensuring the highest levels of service for GfK HealthCare’s U.S. client base of pharmaceutical companies and medical device and diagnostics manufacturers; stimulating business growth within existing and prospective accounts; monitoring budgets and overseeing all department activity, while delivering the overall GfK HealthCare global strategy specific to the U.S. market.
Dr. Kelly has worked with the world’s largest pharmaceutical companies as well as smaller biotech and specialty companies, consulting on both U.S. and global product strategies. She has extensive experience in both qualitative and quantitative methodologies with specific areas of expertise, including theory and research in attitude formation and persuasion; a range of qualitative techniques, including those designed to elicit nonrational drivers of behavior; product positioning; and patient journey research. She has spent 15 years conducting research and consulting in the health care space. Dr. Kelly started her marketing research career with V2, which was acquired by GfK in 2005.

Ben Walton
Head, GfK HealthCare (United Kingdom)
Mr. Walton is responsible for the strategic support and development of GfK HealthCare’s business across the United Kingdom. In addition to managing and expanding GfK’s team of health care research professionals, his duties include ensuring the highest levels of service for GfK HealthCare’s UK client base of pharmaceutical companies and medical device and diagnostics manufacturers; stimulating business growth within existing and prospective accounts; monitoring budgets and overseeing all department activity, while delivering the overall GfK HealthCare global strategy specific to the UK market.
Mr. Walton’s health care background spans the pharmaceutical manufacturer and marketing research agency sides. He started his career as a brand manager at AstraZeneca before joining Adelphi International Research in 2005. At Adelphi, Mr. Walton developed his research and management skills as he progressed through several positions in the organization, culminating in his appointment in early 2011 as client strategy director, a post he held until joining GfK HealthCare.
